Here, "Violets" includes the entire spectrum of red-blues including grape, mauve, lavender, lilac, magenta and plum. Though most often comprised of particularly aesthetic Indian or Brazilian Amethyst or Fluorite from Mexico, China or the USA, a variety of other rare mineral specimens can also be included here as long as the primary color falls between blue and red on the color wheel.
